This group is run by Steamboat Rock Baptist Church but is for all young adults in the area who desire to connect with people around their age. This group meets once a month – just an evening full of hanging out with friends and hopfully making new ones! There will be snacks and games. Child care will be provided.

What is the different between the Young Adults and Thrive groups?
Thrive has more focus and digs into the Bible with devotional time every week. While the Young Adults group only meets once a month, is geared more towards hanging out, and reaches the couples with children by offering child care. Thrive will continue to do its own thing, however, the week of the Young Adults event Thrive will be getting together for that group (Young Adults) in place of their regular meeting.
Thrive’s goal is for those in college / 20’s to build community in order to spur one another on towards love and good deeds through encouragement in Christ. We desire to live out Hebrews 10:24-25,
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you seen the Day approaching.”
We typically meet Friday nights at 6:30 pm and occasionally Sunday’s.
Our home base is Love-A-Latte in Eldora, Iowa. However, we have been known to have bonfires, float down the river, host volleyball matches, play basketball, attend rodeos, do service projects, and are fortunate enough to be hosted by a number of different people for a wide range of events. We like to be creative in our fun but always aim to keep Christ first – making it a point to read and discuss God’s Word.
