Village Creek Bible Camp -

Many of you have been to Village Creek Bible Camp (VCBC) over the years to camps, retreats, concerts, to work, as a counselor, or a variety of other reasons. If you haven’t been there for a while it may be time to reconnect!   If you’ve never been there, maybe this is the summer to check it out.

It’s located in a deep valley in Northeast Iowa near Lansing, Iowa. It’s the go-to summer Bible camp for the Upper Mississippi Region consisting of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. If you’re looking for a weekend family mission project there is always something that needs to be done.  Just ask Tom & Camie Treptau, the camp directors and they’ll gladly give you a job. Speaking of family, there’s several family camps to attend but you’re out of luck for this year because they’re already full. Try for 2026, they fill up fast.

In 2024, over 2000 campers attended VCBC throughout the year. You don’t have to attend an North American Baptist church to be able to camp there, so you could invite extended family or friends to spend a week at camp with you. It’s a great place to disconnect from the business of the world and enjoy the peace, quiet, and beauty of God’s creation. Last year there were over 100 decisions made to accept Christ at VCBC!  Our church has supported this camp for many years and our youth program provides scholarships so kids from our church can attend.

For more information about camps, costs, etc, visit their website at https://villagecreek.net/.  You can also obtain more information about the camp at our church’s Welcome Center on Main Street.

Please pray for VCBC:

  • For the many remodeling projects going on and sufficient staff help. Both volunteer and paid staff are hard to find.

  • For all the speakers, cabin leaders, and staff - that they can clearly communicate the message of Jesus and the treasure of God's Word

  • That kids will dive into their relationship with Jesus.

  • Provision for all the camp’s needs.

  • For the staff to remain committed as the season progresses.
